THAT is what i looked like a few months ago... Not too skinny.. not to plump.. i thought i was a really good size. Over the past few months I've gained about 30lbs. I am at the heaviest I've ever been. I am 21 years old and I am at the age where I am starting my career, but also wanting to go out and have fun. My self confidence issues are holding me back from so much. I really hope in the weight loss support group I can find encouragement or ideas from people, as well as offer any information that I might have. I know there has to be more women out there struggling to lose weight or keep weight off. I'm sure this could be a great place to have a great support system!

I maintain my weight. I work out, and walk 2 miles a day.
2My husband loves my figure - tall and slim.
Good luck, Christina!

Actually I've been in your shoes, kind of. Let me say a few things about my case. I don't know how much is 30 lbs but I was 12 kilos more than my normal. You see my problem was local fat. I've tried everything, gym, swimming, diets.. nothing.
I lost some kilos but my local fat was still there. So I finally went to a certified beautician/dietician to treat me properly.
Oh, I tell you, it wasn't easy. I was (still am since my programme isn't completely over yet) on a strict diet along with some work out and specific massage on my local fat areas. For 2 months I suffered a lot. But now I enjoy my body and I love it and I feel proud of me for pulling this through.
What I want to say is that, it may not be easy but have in mind that after you succeed with your diet - because you will - you will too feel again nice and confident. Not that there is any reason why you shouldn't feel confident now since you have such a pretty face, but I know, I can relate to that feeling.
Oh, and one tip. DRINK WATER. I used to read it everywhere and hear it from people but I just didn't expect to work the way it does. There have been few weeks that I haven't drunk as much water as I should per day (1,5 litre at least) and I didn't lose not a single gram. So drink water even if you have to go to the toilet a thousand times a day. IT WORKS.
I hope it wasn't a tiring post
4again good luck
thanks guys!!!! And midnightkiss.. I wish it was as easy as maintaining for me.. I used to NEVER be able to gain weight.. i was a twig.. and then BAM!!! lol~!
5i've been struggling with my weight issues for years, only wearing clothes that hide certain parts and flatter my body. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. then at the last quarter of 2006, i gained 5kilos (11pounds) and i totally freaked.
i've been making lifestyle changes, drinking more water (morgy is spot on abt this), eating more fruits and veggies, and refraining from eating too much fried/sweet foods. i'm also working out 3-4 times a week at the gym for about 45-60mins a session. guess what? i've dropped the 5kilos that i gained, and im now working towards shedding a few more pounds to get a leaner bod, and maintaining it!
its not easy at first, but you'll love the results! i've still got quite a long road ahead, so lets work hard tog!
6Good luck to you......
