I'm a regular at the gym, but during spring I had a chance to move some of my workouts outside - walking or running on a lakeshore trail, hanging out in the park - and I loved it! Now it's started to get ridiculously hot, even early in the morning, so it's harder for me to take that run outdoors. Any suggestions for getting in a satisfying workout outside of the gym without getting heat stroke? Thanks!

Try going to a nearby indoor track. A lot of the times at universities or community centers they have free access and they are air conditioned. Also, I would try swimming and/or Pilates, which can both be done indoors and can be as challenging or as relaxing as you want them to be.
