OMG that's funny!! Ok so Hi everyone my name is Emily and I have an eating problem...pause for hello....So I eat when I'm bored, at work, and just because. I'm getting better with snacking on fruit instead of chips and junk. It's hard though!! Ok anyway I've been working out a little more and just getting more dedicated. I'll keep you updated.

Hi! Thanks for sharing... Just know that a lot of us eat when we're bored or for no reason at all, you're definitely not alone. Maybe it's wise to keep healthy or low/no cal snacks around for you to grab when you're feeling the need to snack.
Working out can definitely help balance out calories burned with extra calories consumed.
Keep us posted on your progress and good luck.
1yesterday I had the bad case of the magnetic draw to the refrigerator every 10 minutes. maybe this time if i look, more food will be in there! (open) nope. too bad I'm not too drawn to the fruits as much as I should be when I'm bored eating lol
2my problem is that i think because i am runner, its an excuse for me to eat WHATEVER i want, WHENEVER i want. i have no control over what i eat, esp. after my long runs. i will sit down and eat an entire bag of choc chip cookies or a whole pizza. i am hungry after my run, don't get me wrong, but the excessive eating needs to stop!
3I am just like you Emily!
I just started the South Beach diet on Tuesday..I did it about 4 years ago and lost about 8 -10 lbs...So while my goal this time is at least 5...I am much tempted like you..especially at work because I have a sedentary job
I have to be good about exerecising though which is hard...plus with a recent ankle injury I am limited in physical activity that I can do..
4I'm so glad I found you all! Lately I am so stressed, lonely, and frustrated that I can't stop eating!! I try to exercise but I've been getting bored with the usual. and for example tonight I'm just too dang tired!
5I found myself eating junk food at work, too. Now, if I know I'm going to be in the mood to snack, I make a big ziploc bag of plain popcorn seasoned with a little parmesan cheese to keep around. They sell those hot-air poppers all over now, so it really cuts back on all the oil I used to use making it on the stove. And it's cheap!
Also, I found it easy to buy those chocolate Quaker rice cakes to replace pints of chocolate ice cream, cookies, and muffins. The rice cakes have little chocolate chips in them!
I guess it's all about finding things that you like that could replace the things you know are bringing you down.
6I always think about whether or not I really want to eat. Even if I'm bored or not doing anything. When you stop to think about it makes you not want it. At least it works for me. I used to do that. It's really hard when you have a piggy for a boyfriend. I stop myself . Learned too... good luck!
7Keep up the good work!
