Scared Sh*tless of Starting Again

I am currently overweight. I have been obese in the past and through using a healthier eating plan I was able to lose about 75lbs. I am extremely grateful that I am no longer obese but after I got to a weight that was less than what I was in high school my weight loss stalled out. I have maintained this weight for over two years but now I realize I need to move on to the next step in this journey and it scares the crap out of me.
I could really use some advice on finding the motivation, willingness and courage to start exercising and eating less. I know those are the answers to my weight issues. I'm afraid of failing, afraid of the work that has to be done, afraid of feeling hungry, and the sacrifices I'll have to make. I know that it is my head that is stopping me and could really use some suggestions on overcoming these fears.
I currently don't have access to a gym and want to ease back into an exercise program. I commute 2 1/2 hours a day so time is an issue as well. These have also been excuses I have used to stop myself from going forward and I know I need to cut the bullsh*t.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not doing this for anyone but me and I feel like that is the most important thing.
-Katie

Ways to heat it up in summer?

I'm a regular at the gym, but during spring I had a chance to move some of my workouts outside - walking or running on a lakeshore trail, hanging out in the park - and I loved it! Now it's started to get ridiculously hot, even early in the morning, so it's harder for me to take that run outdoors. Any suggestions for getting in a satisfying workout outside of the gym without getting heat stroke? Thanks!

MTV's True Life is casting individuals who recently lost a lot of weight through Lap Band Surgery, Gasteric Bypass, or diet & exercise. Did you trade in your larger figure for stretch marks, excess skin, surgical scars, obsession with body image? Did you think losing weight would make you happy, but you are as uncomfortable in your new skin as you were in your old? Are you considering a tummy tuck soon? Have you already had one? If you are between the ages of 17-27, and would like to share your story, we would love to hear from you. Please send your contact number, a photo and brief bio to newbody@mtvn.com.

I'm the worst person to lose weight. I am picky about the food I eat and I would love to exercise but I have a bad back and knees so it's hard to do most things without getting super sore. I need a swift kick to get myself going and any recipes that are healthy but simple for us picky eaters

Wedding Fitness - Help!

My wedding is in April and i'm trying to get as fit as possible before then. My challenge is that on 1/30 i'm having knee surgery so i will have a 2-3 week period where i won't be able to work out since i'll be healing.

right now i'm a cardio girl and i add in crunches and upper body weights. I don't seem to see results anymore, which i'm guessing is due to having the 'same routine' for so long. i'd love any advice that you guys have so i can try to get off my plateau and hopefully begin losing some additional weight before my big day. i have this fear that i won't look good in my wedding dress, and that's not an option for me.

HELP!

2.5lbs DOWN in 1 WEEK!!!

1 Week into My 16-week Journey and…

I LOST 2.5LBS THIS WEEK!!!

BASICALLY I:

-Stuck to eating 5-6 meals a day of protein/complex & fibrous carbs and a decent amount of water about 80% of the week

- Grazed “HEALTHFULLY” the rest of the week

-Tried to sleep 6-7 hours a night (even though I had tons of school work)

-For the cheats I allow myself I had 1 sliver of chocolate cake and a twix bar…

-Worked out 2 days this week but…I over exerted myself and could barely walk after Day 2

MY SETBACKS:

-The 5-6 meals I ate were HUGE portions…I like eating until I feel full which I think may be a problem as I’ve read one should only eat until 80% full

- I need more water, so this week I’ll be trying to drink 1 glass before and 1 glass after meals or even herbal tea. My aim: 8-12 cups of water

-As stated above I only worked out 2 days instead of 5 which was disappointing L

-I need to figure out HEALTHY CHEATS:

I think cheating weekly with copious amounts of sugar and bad crap defeats the purpose of a healthy lifestyle…so maybe cheating or derailing (sounds better than cheating) with vegan cookies -which are far healthier- or trying out new *ethnic restaurants like Ethiopian food for example would be wiser (a naturopath I saw a few years back said ethnic food is far healthier-so why not use it in my “derailing” meals)

Any advise on healthy cheats/derailments???
Any tips/comments in general???

Thx
