I'm the worst person to lose weight. I am picky about the food I eat and I would love to exercise but I have a bad back and knees so it's hard to do most things without getting super sore. I need a swift kick to get myself going and any recipes that are healthy but simple for us picky eaters :P

Totally was on "vacation" Thursday through Sunday....and ate like TOTAL crap.
If this is like "AA for weight loss" I need to go back to rehab!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this group, but I've been working out and eating well for about 3 1/2 months now. I've lost 18 lbs and feel GREAT about it. I'm running a 5K in the beginning of May and feel ready for it.

I've always been somewhat overweight but in the last few years it got really bad. I didn't really realize how heavy I actually got. When I hit 300 I knew I had to do something.

Okay, so if you read my profile, you'll see I lost thirty pounds over the summer... well, someone asked how I did it, so I'm posting this in case you too are interested:
Here's how I did it:
For three months, I took kickboxing classes two days a week, did a cardio class with weight training in the class for two days a week, and then two other days I would jog or do the elliptical, both for at least a half hour (I built up my endurace/time/speed, etc.).
I calorie counted, avoided tons of carbs, and ate whole grain and organic as much as possible.

I'm so disapointed with my lack of commitment to this diet. My boyfriend keeps giving me crap about how I can't stay on it and how he doesnt understand how i just cant control what i eat and what i do.. and why i need motivation.
